Who We Are

Our Story

In late March of 2020, as COVID-19 started to spread across the GTA, the need became increasingly apparent. At a time when over 1 million people were filing for employment across Canada, Toronto entrepreneur Sergey Kalnish set out to help.

Sergey started a Facebook fundraiser and went out to purchase close to $10,000 in non-perishable food, household, medical and recreational items from local retailers - not to stockpile, but to give back. Sergey then mobilized a team of volunteers to help sort, package and distribute the care packages. On April 3rd, the first Unicorn Care package was delivered to a single mother and her 7 year old daughter in Toronto.

Our goal is to deliver 100 care packages by April 15th and grow this initiative to scale across and beyond the GTA.
